Next-generation processor from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 836, will make its debut with the new Google Pixel, written by a source, referring to well-informed insiders. Chip will make more productive and reduce the amount of energy consumed.

Detailed specifications of Snapdragon 836 are unknown. According to sources, the base operating frequency of the processor will remain the same as that of Snapdragon 835, but the maximum frequency will increase. The chip will make it more compact compared to its predecessor.

The first device running the new processor will be Google Pixel 2, which will be shown to the public in the fall. It is noteworthy that Snapdragon 836 has not yet been noticed in benchmarks, although older models, Snapdragon 840 and Snapdragon 845, have already “lit up” there. The release of these chips is scheduled for 2018.

In addition to Google, Snapdragon 836 plans to use other manufacturers for the flagships of the second half of 2017. This chip will be equipped with Xiaomi Note 3 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and also, probably, a new smartphone OnePlus.

The exact date for the presentation of Google Pixel 2 is still unknown. Qualcomm has a few more months left to refine the chip and make it more efficient and energy efficient.

The current Pixel and Pixel XL have an IP58 rating, which means they are dustproof and protected from water spray but are not submersible in water or water resistant.

According to 9to5Google, an internal document that is displayed on the site confirm that Google will continue to Apple in removing the 3.5mm headphone jack on the Pixel 2. We presume that this means that instead of USB-C Audio.

More rumors on the front of the screen suggest that the next Pixel 2 could also feature a display always visible, as seen on Samsung and LG flagship. Source has discovered the code in the Android preview or suggesting this.

One interesting thing to note is the inclusion – once again – of a red Google Pixel 2.

When is the release date of Pixel 2?

The rumors shows that the date Wednesday October 25th on the phone screen, but we do not know if this is simply a guess or a good indication of when it might be the release date.

Figure out when it should be pretty straight forward. First, Google has confirmed that there will be a new Pixel in 2017, and that leaves us five months.

Also, if we take into account that every launch of the Google phone for the last six years has been done in September, October or November, and we are pretty sure that it will be an afternoon. As the first generation Pixel was launched in October 2016, we will suggest the same thing again from Google: October 2017.
